Both. Walk-ins are always welcome — but Saturdays move fast, so booking ahead saves you the wait. Call the shop directly to lock in a chair.

What services do you offer?

Full grooming menu: precision haircuts, skin fades, beard work, hot-towel shaves, facials, brow and face waxing, nose and ear tidy, hair and beard colouring.

How often should I come in?

Skin fades and tight cuts: every 2–3 weeks. Mid-length: 4–6 weeks. Longer styles: 6–8 weeks.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes — Little Gents for under-12s at £13, and Little Gents Skin Fade at £15. Patient, friendly, and an easy first chair experience.

What products do you use?

Salon-quality only. Layrite, Reuzel, Baxter of California, Uppercut — chosen by the barbers, not by a wholesaler's deal.

Our story

On discipline, hot towels and a steady hand.

Milo opened the Alderwick chair in March 2021, three weeks after signing the lease on Foundry Lane. We started with the same Wahl Magic Clip, the same hot-towel cabinet and a queue down the pavement. Hawthorn Quay followed in 2023.

Six barbers between the two shops. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the quietest — Saturday before noon is the worst. If we miss the call, we ring back; we don't use an online booking system on purpose.

“£20 skin fade, no nonsense.”

Been going for two years now. Nico never asks me what I want — he just looks at the last cut and tightens it up. Hot towel at the end, head massage that genuinely feels like a reset. Walked out, walked across the road, got a coffee. That's the whole visit.
